Subtle Light For Office

I have an office where I do hypnosis and counseling. The lighting was so bright it was giving me a headache. I have a table lamp in there, but it wasn't bright enough for new clients to fill out the forms on their first visit. This lamp is perfect, it has a dimmer on it and the two lower lamps are adjustable so I can adjust it to aim on the forms when the new client is filling them out and then move it towards the wall and dim it a little during our regular session. It's sturdy, but also classy. It was on sale, so I got a very good price. I love it!

Arrived just fine, easy to put together (except getting the top glass on requires either a tall person or a foot ladder). Uses normal incandescent bulb on top (unlike what some reviewers say). Is both decorative and functional (reading and ambient). What more can you ask for?

Don't buy this lamp

Cons:
Flimsy Construction, Poor packaging

Bottom Line:

Lamp didn't arrive in first shipping due to poor packaging. It was sent out again this time arriving but in just as bad of condition (I assume) as the first time. Upon opening the bottom was bent. Upon plugging the lamp in it blew a breaker. I sent it back (paid to repack at FEDEX due to first box being too destroyed to use). Still waiting to get money back.

I love the way it looks and the fact that the assembly was minimal. The two flexible lights are great for reading and spotlighting and the bulbs are included. However, the bulb for the torchiere is not included and I could not find the required bulb type in [...], so I finally ended up ordering it online. They should make that clear when you order the lamp, so you can order it at the same time.

I love this lamp for it's wavy retro body and bronze/champagne colors. The general light is excellent and I love that you have two adjustable lights to either read with or point towards artwork. I think the led lights are a bit bright and should also have a dimmer. I dont love the foot switch - it's annoying- but love this lamp so I deal with the foot switch.

We were looking for general lighting for the room and also specific lighting for a piece of wall art. This lamp is great in the general lighting category. However, the small LED lights are very bright and a little too much for the wall art. We do like the lamp though and bought a second one to use in our library/pool room.

This torchiere brightens a dark corner AND sheds light on my art work hanging over the fireplace AND the decorations on the fireplace itself. It's 3 lamps in one.

This lamp straddles the gray area between a really good chair and our couch. I can point the lights in any direction and I use that feature a lot. It could have a bigger base, it seems a little tippy, but we still love it.
