This is a nice addition to the lamp we purchased to hide the cord. However, even though this item came wrapped in a huge amount of bubble wrap, it had scratches in the finish like somebody had kicked it down the sidewalk. But we used it anyhow since it's not fully visible behind our rocking chair.
