I had a shiny brass chandelier that was 17 years old. This chandelier gives the whole dining room an updated look! We added a dimmer switch and it is perfect.

I love this lamp! It dresses up my dining room and gives more even lighting than the fixture that came with the house. This lamp has elegant graceful lines that never fail to draw compliments. We use it with 25-watt clear glass candelabra bulbs which give just the right amount of light for dining.

I am using this as a light in my foyer. It looks beautiful from the street. It almost looks too small in my foyer (18' ceiling, 13' X 13'). I read a previous review about 60w bulb putting out too much light, so I am using 40w and it is very sufficient. Two of the bases which hold the globes were not straight and now two globes are at an angle. I would recommend checking the construction prior to hanging. I was not at home to do this. It does look very pretty and goes with my ornate accessories.

The store sold us 60W bulbs with the chandelier and, with 12 of them, that makes 720W. This was more than our dimmer switch could handle -- 600W, the most common kind. Our best solution was to replace the bulbs with 40W instead of buying a pricey 1000W dimmer and replacing some others to match it. It's still plenty bright with 480W.
