Great light. Would have given it a fifth star if it didn't rotate slightly on the wall. The mounting should be designed to be tighter / more secure

This light functions very well and has nice dimming features. It has poor securing bracket and construction and did not secure tightly to wall. Not a good value to function ratio.

Needs better attachment hardware

The light is beautiful and goes well with our Prairie style bedroom furniture. The swing arms open much wider than the 23 inches advertised. The light is bright enough for reading in bed, so is perfect for over the headboard where we wanted it. I did oil the inner two swing arm joints to ease movement, although I didn't oil the joint at the lamp head because I didn't want it to sag. I would rate this light much higher except for the attachment hardware. The hardware is inadequate for attaching to gypsum wallboard. You have the choice of screws to attach to wood studs or masonry expansion sheilds. If your installation is not right on a wood stud, I recommend you buy your own hardware for attaching it to the wallboard. I considered installing a cut-in box to attach it to but the light can't be easily converted to get rid of the cord. Looks great, works great, but buy your own hardware for wallboard attachment.

Very cool addition to bedroom
By LauraW Verified Purchaser from Fort Worth, TX on 7/28/2011

Cons:
Storing when not in use
Best Uses:
Bedroom, Reading light

Bottom Line:

I put these above our bed for a reading lamp so each of us could have their own light to read by. The light is adjustable for brightness and direction which is invaluable for us. The bronze casing is attractive and blends in with the decor of the room. The only complaint I would have is the arms of the lamps should have been offset so you can fold them flat against wall when not in use so they do not bump into each other. This has been a great addition and I absolutely love it.
