Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Pretty piece . . .but smaller than it appears in the picture. If you have a large fireplace the screen will hardly cover the opening. It also slants backwards a bit . . .I expected it to stand straight up. Lastly, after I put in the screws the peice appeared to look a bit crooked, but I couldn't change it. There was some verbiage shipped with the screen that says some inperfections are to be expected. I still like it though.
