The fountain is really a good value. Two issues with it.#1 It comes with two small quartz lights that are submerged - Before using the fountain when it is dry, I recommend sealing each of the rubber bases where they push into the glass tubes that protect the lights with a silicone sealant. #2 Also over time calcium will build up on the areas of the fountain that get wet. The finish is not tolerant to Lime-a-way or CLR. Maintain the finish with mild soap and water before the calcium gets ahead of you. Periodic cleaning will prevent calcium from building up and keep the fountain looking good for years.Images/Videos shared by: Boomer
Placed it outside front entrance to house. I can move it under the porch or near the porch, depending on falling leaves or freezing temperatures. Not too heavy to move even when filled with water. Especially striking at night with the lights on.
This lovely water feature is an integral part of our small yard landscape. I love everything about it: its splashing sound is so relaxing and serves as a delightful backdrop to the feeling of restfulness whether in the yard or the rooms adjacent to it; its built-in illumination warms the night and casts a gentle glow over the yard. It is easy to install, has a large reservoir and is simple to fill when needed. We chose to have an licensed electrician do the wiring, as we wanted separate controls for the pump and the lights. For us, this was very desirable and we are happy we did it. In three words: I love it.Images/Videos shared by: Elizabeth Joanne
I've had my fountain for 3 years now and love it, but I do have a few issues. First, algae tends to clog the pump after a few weeks (there is no filter) but this is easy to clean. The bigger issue are the halogen bulbs. The first set lasted just under 1 year. The bulbs have a small glass tube cover. The fountain came with several replacement bulbs and glass covers, but I have now managed to break the extra covers and have not been able to replace them. I ordered some test tubes to use as covers, but these do not fit perfectly and all bulbs installed since using these covers tend to burn our quickly. I'm trying to retrofit the fountain now to use LEDs instead of halogen bulbs. Other than this, however, the fountain looks great, has held up fine outdoors year round, although I typically do not run it in the winter.Images/Videos shared by: David
