Don't and I repeat don't purchase these lamps if you are anywhere near salt water. I live a half mile from the ocean and the lamps are rusting thuru after only a year and a half. Go to Brass or Bronze instead. I have several of the older lamps of this style in stainless and they are holding up well over the past 8 years. Sometime in the past couple of years Murray Feiss went to lamps of steel with a stainless look. The stainless coating peels off leaving the steel exposed. For relatively expensive lamps not a good use of your dollars. Go to other lamps
We just got the porch light yesterday. It looks beautiful and matches our chrome mailbox unlike the brass Victorian style that came with the house. It gives off much more light than the old light. As it is only 2 days old, I cannot attest to the durability or reliability of the light.
These are beautiful fixtures. Very well made and substantial. At first I thought you had to get your hand inside to change the bulb - not easy unless your hands are tiny. I then realized the lower fixture screws off and bulb replacement is simple.
