Photo cells are going bad in a year

The lights give off great illumination at night but after exactly 12 months (purchased Jan 2012) the photo cells are going bad one by one. Purchased (8) of these and so far 2 photo cells and a 3rd one went out today 2/4/13. Not very happy with this as now looks like I will be replacing all the photo cells and these lights were not cheap.

Electrician couldn't make the photocell work, so as a dusk to dawn, it is worthless. We needed that so we didn't have to go outdoors to turn it on and off on a separate building.
