Paint Peeled Off

We LOVED the lights until the paint started peeling off. We put one on both sides of our front door and the 20" size is the perfect scale for this use. They look nice from a distance and they're STUNNING when you get close enough to see the details. Our problem is that the paint has started peeling off on one of them. They are protected from rain and most sun (covered porch on north-east side of house) Something that costs this much shouldn't start failing this quickly. We're going to try to paint the bare spot (about a 1.5" x 1.0" rectangle) with some metallic paints in the brown/gold/bronze spectrum. I'm sure it won't match the dark bronze perfectly, but it will be better than the gray-white color the flaw is now. If it's only going to last for three years in a weather/sun protected area, I certainly can't recommend placing this lamp in an exposed area...no matter how appealing its appearance.

The gargoyle exterior wall lamp is hanging between my garage doors in the front of my house. It looks fantastic and was very easy to install. It took five minutes to take the old lamp down and install this beauty in its place. It's unique and eye catching. We've had several positive comments from our neighbors already. I hope it weathers well as I know we will have difficulty finding another lamp that we would enjoy more. [...]

We purchased 2 of these Gargoyle lights in the 20inch size. We had an electrician install them in our bedroom on the wall behind our headboard of our bed. They look GREAT! I was worried that they would be too bright for the bedroom but the lighting is fine, not too bright. I still use my ceiling light as well. These lights really add to the decor.

It looks beautifull on top of our french doors in our bedroom. It is in a covered area in our patio and it always looks good. The champagne color of the handmade glass is fantastic.
