It is a nice looking fixture, but I bought it for the hallway and coming down the hall all you see is the light bulb. If it is in a location where all you to is face the fixture, it looks great, but the light bulb is very visable from the side.

I bought 3 of these lights for my stairway and they look beautiful. No one would guess that I didn't go to a high-end light store to fine these lovely lights. Less than 2 weeks after putting them up my husband broke the white glass shade on one of them and I was sick. I called the help desk and was able to order just that part with no trouble. It's a happy home again!
