Works best in the bathroom over the sink
I had a professional install.
Using in a wet bar area of a pool cabana. Looks beautiful, sheds a great amount of light in a confined area, without being harsh. Love it.
Very happy with the product
I wanted dedicated LED fixture for our remodeled bathroom and this is the perfect fixture. It took me a while to decide this, but now every time I turn it on I remind myself what a great (and attractive fixture it is It is well packed and takes only a couple minutes with a screwdriver to assemble. Installation is straight forward, but this fixture is solid and heavy. I set it on top of a tall stool on the counter to hold it while I made the wiring connections. We actually have two of these mounted horizontally at 7' in an 8' high room. Mounting it this high sets it out of the primary visual field reducing glare. If I mounted these lower, or vertically on each side of the mirror, I would consider using a dimmer switch. Mounting high also bounces more light off the ceiling, diffusing the light. The color temperature of the lamps is 3000K identical to halogen lights. This is whiter light than a standard incandescent at 2700K, but very nice. Color rendering is excellent. There is a small (1/2 second?) delay with starting these lights, but it was only noticeable when I had one fixture wired next to an old incandescent one. Once they were both installed, the delay was not noticeable at all. One final comment is that there is a very slight buzz from these fixtures. It is not a big deal to me, as usually there is a fan or water running. Altogether, I recommend these without reservations.
We were replacing the same fixture but with halogen lights. The LEDs produce more even light and the burnt bulb look of halogens is never a problem. We also don't have to replace bulbs anymore. One day I will replace the one in the master bath too.
This is a LED Lamp base , best I have seen, It projects the proper K lighting level for my wife to apply make up / hair applications . Use as side lights on both sides of mirror for best LIGHT application . This George Kovacs LED is very well made - makes installation easier / faster ! SOLID ! Price wise - you get what you pay for ! It could be sold for more and still be worth the price by the the way it is made ! Lamp plus has a good price on these . Will be purchasing more in future .
This light works great in my Bathroom with the existing Lutron dimmer switch. The light will flicker at the lowest dimmer setting but my preferrence is middle to high. The lighting is bright white not soft.
This light looks really nice in our modern bathroom and the LED version looks much better than the incandescent version. The whole tube glows instead of three individual lights. We noticed that our first one had a delay in turning on -- about one second, which was noticeable to me. So, we got another one with the intention of returning the first one. But the second one buzzed like crazy, which was a much worse problem than the delay. So, we put the first one back up and returned the buzzing one. It is possible that the delay is caused by the Lutron CL dimmer we are using, but that is unfortunate since they are made specifically for LED lights.
Using in a new commercial building. The LED is a plus to save energy.
great design but light not attractive - neither white or yellow; I tried to get used to it but something was not quite right. I had an epiphany when every paint samples I picked out in the white and gray color turned out lavendar or pink (I am in the middle of renovating the bathroom). After spending a fortune in samples I finally realized it was the LED light. I hope Lamps Plus will take it back so that I can get the same model with xenon bulbs.
