touch feature stopped working

No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The look is perfect for someone looking for a modern look. However, from the first day that we got it, the touch feature stopped working. I purchased from Lamps PLus Open Box so it is not returnable. Too bad because even with the attractive design, I would have returned it since the touch feature no longer works. There is no other way of turning the light on and off without unplugging the power source.

Gorgeous, heavy-duty lamp

I love this lamp - it is substantial, VERY expensive feeling and looking, and it gives off wonderful warm light. The lamp was packed very well, and was not terribly difficult to assemble. My only complaint is that within just a few months of ownership, the "touch adjustment" on the lamp (allowing three levels of light) stopped working. Now the lamp only turns on and off by way of plugging the cord in - there is no alternate "on/off" switch, and the electronic mechanism is hidden somewhere (inaccessibly) inside the very heavy brass base. Otherwise, a wonderful looking and feeling lamp.
