This fixture gives poor, low light if it is intended as a reading light. After just over one year, the lamp fizzled and stopped working completely. I'd avoid paying this much for a lamp that lasts just a year -- no matter how attractive the design. I agree with the reviewer who discussed the difficulty changing the bulb -- only through his review was I able to figure out how to remove the bulb.
