Used it in two bedrooms; liked the versatility
Look great. Perfect reading lights
This is the only swing arm wall lamp I could find that extended far enough for perfect, targeted reading light. But, the on-off switch only works occasionally. Most often it needs to be turned backwards and forward multiple times for the light to actually come on. Using a wall switch works fine. Just not the rotating switch on the lamp itself.
My husband and I purchased a pair of these lamps to use in our bedroom and are very happy with them. They were fairly easy to install (the wiring was already there from an electrician, but we installed the lamps ourselves.) They're perfect for nighttime reading. The small, focused lamp lets one of us read without shining too much light on the other. The lamp articulates in several places so you can focus the light right where you need it. The bulbs included get a little hot, but nothing that creates a problem. Attractive design and a very reasonable price compared to other models that articulate in as many places.
With such a great selection and pricing on swing out lamps, it was a thrill to find just what we'd been looking for but not been able to find anywhere else, in person or online. We found the quality of the lamps to be much better than we expected, it was a pleasant surprise. I will be buying more of these particular lamps. Oh and the colour matches brushed nickel fixtures like recessed lighting and ceiling fans just lovely.
I use the light for reading on the sofa. My table lights don't provide enough light. It provides great illumination at 2 levels. The instructions were extremly confusing especially when the light was easy to install. Although I did need to place small washers behind the nuts that hold the lamp to the wall.
The lamp is very attractive and everything but the switch looks and is constructed well. The on/off switch is a cheap piece of plastic that doesn't match the look or quality of the rest of the piece and was broken out of the box. Also the installation instructions were useless, confusing, frustrating and a waste of paper. I had to hire a electrician for a job that should have been a very simply install. Besides that... my son is thrilled with his new lamp
Love my new reading light in my new window seat area. Looks great with my decor and 'folds away' when not in use. This is my 2nd purchase from Lamps Plus...[...] excellent quality.Images/Videos shared by: diane
We have two lamps, bought at the same time, 4 years ago. Both recently needed new switches ( failed on the low light level feature ), and their decorative round plastic handles ( no set screws). On one lamp, the clamp that allows the head to swivel on its ball lost friction and needed to be squeezed hard with vice-grips to restore some holding power. And regular rotation of the head led to a short circuit-- the wires frayed at the ball/swivel junction. Needed to rewire the lamp.
We searched all our local stores, could not find what we were looking for. This light is perfect for our needs.
Haven't been able to install yet, but looks good!
Delivery was as expected - thanks!
Flexible fixture provides reading and general lighting. Fully adjustable. We use on each side of bed, plug-in installation, eliminating need to have lamp on bedside table. Cord cover is attractive. Good quality and design for the price.
Installed double set, wall mounted on each side of bed as reading lights. Look great, very functional. Two settings, multi-position adjustments. Only criticism is that they feel really hot when you sit under them to read.
I installed this lamp over 2 twin beds. I love them!
