Piece of junk - this is Kovacs?

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Let me list all the ways in which this is a piece of junk: 1) In order to put in the bulb (which is not listed correctly on this website, you need a pronged bulb not a Frankenstein bolt bulb), you have to take the head of the lamp off. 2) The screws are poorly manufactured and scratch the glass so the head of the lamp is ruined. 3) The bulb will not sit properly when you attempt to put on the now-scratched head. So the bulb falls out 3 times and finally breaks inside the lamp.

We have these on either side of our bed for reading. The lamps are fully articulated and the light can easily be directed to a book. The built in dimmers are great when one person wishes to read while the other is sleeping. We also tend to use them in lieu of our overhead lighting most of the time. Really freed up space on our bedside tables as well.
