I like the fact that this lamp has a high and low adjustment. It looks beautiful but is also practical. The heavy base keeps it grounded and safe.
Like this lamp a lot. We also have the tall floor lamp and these two go well together and our decor. Easy to assemble and operate. The cord length is adequate. Heavy base will not allow the lamp to tip over.
Very stable lamp and very well made
This is a pretty desk or table lamp but beyond that, it's a huge disappointment. It's a halogen, but gives little reading light. The tiny handle on the top that you're supposed to use to keep from burning yourself gets too hot to use. You have to use the far edge of the lampshade instead. Knobs are too tight. Lamp tends to fall down. It's HOT! If all you want is decoration, fine. But if you need a strong, well-designed lamp for reading or close work, this isn't your lamp.
I purchased this lamp to provide light for organ music. I'm not fond of the traditional piano lamps & this little lamp is perfect! It allows easy adjustment, so that the light is directed on the music & not in your eyes; the base is weighted; and it has high & low light settings.

Buy it for show only. This is a very attractive sylish desk lamp, but terrible illumination...almost a joke. In fact, my wife and I are laughing at the reviews about good illumination. It's very difficult to read anything using this light. You would be far better off buying an itty bitty book light. We will be returning this lamp today.
