I use this lamp in my foyer and it's a lovely welcoming sight. However, no one ever mentioned that the replacement bulbs cost $10 each. It's not a standard screw in bulb and can't be purchased at the local hardware store (I checked). I hope it lasts a long time. I would recommend it to friends but only with the warning about the cost to replace the bulb.

The first thing you notice about this lamp is it's small footprint yet fairly hefty for it's size. The next thing you notice is the exceptionally long cord. Perfect! I have it on top of a tall bookcase in the hallway and it acts as a nightlight. It does the job admirably and beautifully. It has 3 positions on the switch, turn it once and you get night light bright. Turn the swith again and it's bright enough to read the book covers on the shelf. The 3rd turn of the switch turns the light off. I am very impressed with this little lamp!

Purchased this to give as a gift. Was very pleasantly surprised as how nice this little lamp is. Really pretty, quite hefty, and more substantial than expected for such a good price. I only gave four stars because I can't speak to this products reliability as I am not the one using it.

We placed the light in our entry with a timer and it is perfect. Not too much light (although adjustable); just enough for coming home and not having to fumber around to find a light switch. In addition, it adds a bit of character and whimsy to our home.

Using light as an accent light for an area where a light switch and wall hanging are located. Works well for this purpose However, the inline rolling on off switch does not function in a sharp, crisp manner. I have to roll the switch back and forth to make a good connection. Needs a better switch.
