KITCHEN LIGHTING PERFECT FIT
This fixture is the perfect size for a small sitting room we have off our master bedroom (17' x 10'.) We have an eclectic style mixing some things that belonged to parents and grandparents--some dating to the 1930's and some new pieces of a classic design. I think this fixture goes w/lots of different styles. I appreciate how well built it is.
We put in the Master Bef Very Glassy looking
It took two years to find the perfect light for our remodeled home office. This light fixture is both stylish and functional, it gives more than adequate light for the entire room. Finally my work space is bright and happy! Bonus: very well made and reasonably priced!
I bought this for my main kitchen light -- it has a wonderful warm glass frosted shade and even with 4-60's the light is diffused. Construction well made and very elegant but not overdone.
Had this light fixture professionally installed, replaced the old ceiling fixture in a dining area off the kitchen. Takes up to 4-100 watt bulbs, but I only have 4-60 watt incandescent bulbs installed now. The light is brighter than I was expecting, since the old light I was used to had a clear shade with clear bulbs, and this shade is not clear, but the top of the glass is completely open and the ceiling is white, so that lets a lot of light out the top to reflect off the white walls and popcorn ceiling. Had a new dimmer installed, also, to dim the light when we don't need it so bright. Deducted one star because the shade is tricky to screw back on the spindle, because there are a few washers and a sleeve that fits over the threaded spindle and since they are loose pieces, it is hard to keep them in place and line the spindle up with the hole in the shade. We eventually used a pencil stuck in the bottom of the spindle to line everything up and hold in place until we got the knob screwed on. It was heavy enough that I can't imagine one person being able to do it easily, if at all. I think I will just get a taller stepladder to change the bulbs from the top of the shade. Also, the layout of the sockets, pinwheel fashion, were too close together around the bulb base area to use standard CFL bulbs; incandescents were the only ones we could afford that fit the fixture. But overall I am very pleased with this light, both in the amount of light it gives and the visual design, which is neither too plain nor too showy.
I had a dimmer installed when not all the available lighting is needed.
This is a beautiful addition to my kitchen. It is very traditional yet brought my kitchen up to date and contemporary. This is a wonderful addition to any style. We love it! :-)
Looks and works as needed and wanted in our kitchen. Looks beautiful, great lighting.
We had the old drop ceiling with fluorecent lighting. Very outdated, but gave off good light. We needed something stylish that gave us the same amount of light. This fixture uses four 100 watt bulbs and totally lights up our newly remodled kitchen.
I have purchased from Lamps Plus at least a half dozen times, and have never been disappointed!
I liked the fact that I can increase or decrease the amount of light as needed by using any number of bulbs up to four in the fixture. Classic good looks
This lighting fixture is in my craft room. There are four bulbs, so one can go up or down with the wattage for softer or brighter lighting. I chose brighter but I enjoy a dimmer switch as well. I like a traditional look, but this fixture has a modern feel to it that appeals. One of the metal choices matched the curtain rods I used. It's just a beautiful fixture.
We replaced the fluorescent light box in our kitchen with this fixture (plus a couple of can lights). It provides just as much, if not more, light with a much more stylish look--a great update that makes the whole room upscale.
