Much nicer than the picture!

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The picture doesn't do this lamp justice. The beige is a beautiful creamy color. The lamp base's width is wider than it looks on the picture. I think that it's about 5-6 inches wide, which was't a problem for me. The only problem that I have had, is that the beige is too pale for my bedroom. Unfortunately this Haeger style doesn't come in the other color that I want, so I will be ordering a different style and color...that's why only 4 stars
