Add some light with this functional and stylish halogen torchiere floor lamp. The design features a top torchiere halogen light for general room illumination and twin adjustable side lights for reading. Two full range dimmer switches can be found on the column; one for the top light and one for the two side lights. Base and lamp arms are in a brushed steel finish.

Very poorly made. I bought one, liked it and bought another, only to find that the "black box" in the cord designed to keep it from overheating caused the top light to cut off in just a second. Same defect on two lamps. ANd the switch on the cord for the lower lights came loose after a short time. THey offered to send a lower wattage bulb for the top. Great hassle to return these internet purchases. Do Not Buy!

This was a difficult assembly. Could never really get it to stand real straight but it gives such good light I don't care. It is almost 2 years old and I just changed the bulb on the top light. Could not get 175 w. halogen but easily found a 2 pack 150 w. for $7.50 at the hardware store. Gives great light. Don't need any more. It was easy to change. Hope when the small bulbs go it will be as easy to do. I called customer service and they were very helpful. Told me to tighten some hex nuts and now it stands straighter. If this one goes I would buy another. Highly recommend it. Be careful re: halogen and fires.

Super strong & glam craft light

I had a light similar to this for many years as I wanted a good looking lamp that would be bright enough for craft work/patchworking and left it behind when I moved (loved it so much that I wanted a replacement). This one was heaps better than my original. Super bright, with a selector switch to turn off one light if it is not being used. It is a little fiddly for one person to assemble (you need someone to hold it while you pull the cords through and screw up the nuts) and the cords are rather an ugly brown. Pity they are not black or silver-grey. However, this light is amazing value for the price and lights up the whole room or just a work spot. Almost perfect!

175W halogen bulbs not sold anywhere

175w bulbs are not sold in stores or on-line stores at all, only available at Lamps Plus and they are back-ordered for 2 weeks. Without a working bulbs, the lamp is essentially worthless.

Care when assembling may not be enough to prevent dents on the base, i.e. over-tightening the nuts. Just standing it up after assembly will leave dimples around the two uprights on the base.

Terrible quality control

There was no way to assemble this product at home since the factory must have tangled the cords for the two pillars when they were assembling it. I tried way too long to figure out how to untangle the cords but it was impossible since the connections in the middle were hardwired in. This should have been detected in a quality control check at the factory. Now I have a big mess and can't even repackage this to return to the store. First experience with Lampsplus and probably the last.
