I just purchased this style lamp and love it. The versatility is wonderful, because of the capability to adjust the height + extension of the arm. The dimmer/on/off switch is located perfectly while sitting in a chair reading. Very high quality looking as well as materials and construction. It is definitely an investment, but well worth it and will last forever.

Purchased for a bedside lamp. On full illumination it is bright enough to light up a small bedroom. Perfect reading lamp because the bulb is covered wtih a frosted glass tube which disburses the light well and makes it easy on the eyes. The dimmer is in a stem that is handy at all heights because it is placed next to the main stem of the light. The dimmer has a gradual, perfectly balanced range. I will be buying two more for the reading chairs in the living room. Well worth the cost, highly recommended.
