Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

We use this lamp over the bed as a nighttime reading light. It has a dimmer switch so the light can be adjusted to light up the whole room if desired. It is beautiful. It cost more than some, but it's obviously worth the price, in my opinion. The type of bulb is a long lasting one.
