Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I use this lamp as a desk lamp. It was a little smaller than I thought it would be and it might not look good on a very large desk, but is perfect for mine. I bought the antique brass finish, which is beautiful. The color is a warm, coppery shade of brass. The light is subtle and the dimmer allows you to adjust the amount depending on what you are doing.
