This lamp is wonderful for my piano. It adjusts in 2 places along with tilting of the shade that allows for perfect illumination of the music without shining directly into my eyes. It's also very sturdy and well-built.

Great lamp for piano, good illumination. Con - the switch is on the cord which falls behind the piano unless you wrap the cord round the lamp.

Switch is on the cord, and if you have an upright piano, it's behind the piano. We solved the problem by plugging it into a wall switchable outlet. Two energy efficient bulbs are included in the packaging. Very nice. Because this isn't in the product notes, the store employees will try to sell you two non-effecient bulbs for the lamp. Don't. The included bulbs have a very nice light output that is fine for reading music.
