Very easy to install, and it's very light weight so you don't have to fight with a heavy fixture while connecting the wiring. We get great illumination using a CFL which is easy to change from the open bottom design. We love it!

I purchased this light for our California Craftsman Bungalow-style home. It was at least 50% less than other similar lights I looked at. This is an investment property, so I rely on the tenant to change the light bulbs. Because the light is open on the bottom, this is very easy to do. It was also the biggest light I could choose with only one light bulb needed. All-in-all, it is great value for the money.

After looking at outdoor fixtures for many years, took a chance on these and couldn't be more pleased! They have been installed for 3 months, no problems to date. I replaced 3 wall-mount lights (at front door & sides of garage) and a hanging light. The honey-colored glass not only looks beautiful with CFL bulbs but was consistently colored on all four fixtures ordered. I like having the design of the fixture emphasized at night (rather than the bare-bulb look that results from clear glass) but was worried that the opaque glass wouldn't provide enough illumination. The 13 watt CFL's I used (purchased in bulk from a warehouse store) provide excellent illumination of our large driveway & entrance. WARNING: Choose a fixture that accepts a standard medium socket which allows use of inexpensive med. base compact flourescents. No need for the VERY EXPENSIVE pin-style GU24 fluorescent bulbs required by "the energy efficient design" of some other sizes in this same collection (for instance the 10-1/2" model 60264.) A very good value for a relatively inexpensive product. The design and construction surpassed other highly priced fixtures I had found in boutique lighting stores. Installation was very easy & quick. Now I enjoy looking at my house in the evening - these lights were a low cost way to dramatically improve its appearance!
