It is a great lamp to use for reading.
Classic lamp used in our living room unfortunately it broke after just two weeks. I am very disappointed because this lamp design was just what I was looking for.
On first inspection of the floor model, this is a beautiful lamp. However, when opening the box for a new floor lamp (that had to be assembled) I noted that the lampshade had been poorly made. It was not completely circular at the top brim and looked off-kilter! Also, for purposes of a good reading lamp, which is what I wanted, the lampshade is too dark (didn't look that way in the store). So now I will have to purchase a new, lighter shade to replace it--an extra expense! Also, there must be no quality control for this product as anyone visually looking at the lampshade would have seen how off-kilter it looked. I feel like I didn't quite get what I thought I was paying for, so I will no longer be purchasing any more Kathy Ireland Mulholland lamps!
I was ill when I received this lamp and was unable to inspect it right away. When I opened it to assemble, I found that one of the branches to a smaller bulb socket was broken off the center of the lamp and the wires running between the two pieces were exposed. I also found that the decorative piece on top that held the lamp shade on had a big chip broken out of it. Other buyers beware, these lamps are not inspected for breakage before packing to ship. And if you don't assemble right away you are stuck with it. I gave it one star more than the minimum because the lamp itself is very attractive. The lights work fine if you prop the loose one up in the hole where it belongs and hope it stays there.
I wish the switch to turn it on and off was just one instead of two.
I put it in the living room, good light with very nice decoration.
