No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The nice thing about the plain white lampshades was the ability to be able to get crafty and create one of a kind that matched with my home decorating. The drawback however was that the seams of the lampshade wouldn't stay glued, so I had to reglue them and that got messy on the lampshade.
