A traditional torchiere floor lamp from Kathy Ireland Essentials designed with refined appeal and beautiful materials. The base comes in a bronze finish and it's decorated with a sculpted faux marble font and a faux marble accent at the base. This lamp is topped with an alabaster glass shade up top. Poor Fittings on the Base

I purchased the sister lamp to this one on sale (mine had a fabric shade). The lamp looks nice enough although I noticed the long shaft seemed crooked. I thought it was the floor until I noticed that where the long lamp shaft screws into the base it did not stand firm. The whole lamp wables where it connects to the base. I tried to screw the shaft into the base further, but it won't tighten. So, the lamp just leans over a bit - depending on which way you want to push it. I would have sent it back, but by the time I paid the shipping charge twice, what's the point. It'll just have to do until I can find something better.

I really like the classic look of this lamp. It has a vintage look to it, with simple lines that keep the lamp from being too busy. I like that the switch is located mid way on the pole so that it is easy to reach . . . not high up on the lamp. The color of the top glass bowl helps the lamp give off a nice warm illumination. I only wish that the lamp's switch was a dimmer so I did not have to buy a floor dimmer switch to make the lamp more versatile.
