I used it at a beach house,the slate wont rust, the copper will probably patina over time and look beautiful. I wanted something that wasnt going to look terrible in a years time becauce of the salt air.I think it will be perfect

We got two of them to use as outside lights. I did NOT want stark, glaring light as we live in the country and I like the darkness. These are perfect! The light is bright but not shocking. The area of illumination is wide, but the tone is soft (and this is a halogen bulb). The copper is sturdy and the slate adds a very natural touch. Love them. And they were easy to install.
