Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

It is beautiful when it performs properly. However, both the slate panel and the base were not level. I found the issues when the water only ran down the left side. I phoned and first was told to increase the water volume. I advised that remedy had proven to be ineffectual. I then was informed the pump had a button by which to increase volume. It did not. I called on my fountain expert and he discovered the slate panel canted to the left, a deficiency he remedied with pennies. Once that problem wasd solved, the next was the water splashing out of the reservoir. It then was ascertained that the base canted forward. More pennies were used to bring it upright. There still is a minor amount of splash (water is allowed only at a volume sufficient to make the fountain perform properly). The expert believes it is because of the angle of the cuts in the slate. While I love the way it looks, it is an expensive piece to have so many deficiencies.
