Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I bought this lamp to use beside my recliner for reading and playing games on my phone. Need a 150-watt light for that but want a 3-way to dim it for TV watching. Love the lamp design, but the lamp CANNOT be coerced, encouraged, or forced to stand up straight - tried reassembling, shims, and placing it on a square of plywood. Giving up and buying something else.
