It fits on a narrow wall & shines light on an adjoining book shelf.
Read reviews before purchasing. Great reading lighting. Doesn't get hot after being on for a long time. It is the only lighting I use every day in my bedroom.
Installed two over a queen bed for reading. Super easy to install and quality construction. Had a problem with one of the lamps and Lamps Plus customer service was awesome. Sent out a replacement in a few days with no hassles.
The lights are bright. Unfortunately there is no low or high for the light just on and off switch. From afar the lights look good and up close too, if you don't mind a painted bronze finish. Installation took awhile because the anchors are very long and were not of great quality. But for pennies you can use your own or hope for studs. The actual light box plate made it simple to do the installation. The electrical cord metal covers really polish off the look. They look great on either side of the bed and adds to the design layout.Images/Videos shared by: Molly Makers
I just ordered two more. One for my favorite reading chair.
I was excited about the flexibility of these gooseneck lamps and was planning to mount on either side of headboard, but the bronze finish is not appealing at all for me and my husband. It looks like some kind of cheap faux-sponging finish of black on bronze field. Can't comment on function since we wrapped it back up as soon as it came out of the box. The other finishes are probably better, but we need dark. Bummer.
Plenty bright enough to see when reading or knitting in bed. My husband likes his too because of the toggle-switch design - persons with arthritic hands will find it easy to turn the light on and off.
We bought two of these to use as reading lights mounted above our bed. The light quality is outstanding, the lamp never gets at all warm (a real plus in the summer) and if one of us has the light on the other is not bothered by it at all. It may seem like an expensive lamp, but the construction quality is very high. If you are tired of cheap lights that look good but don't work well, try this one. You'll be glad you did.
I had been looking for over a year for this lamp. I wanted a lamp off the nightstand and one that would flex to illuminate reading but not bother my husband or interfere with watching t.v. at the same time. This has 26" of reach, so it's excellent. When we are matching up the socks or packing at night, I turn it up to reflect off the ceiling for more light in the room!
I use this light as a reading light over my bed. The gooseneck design makes it very functional. It was very easy to install.
The product is not good value. Additionally, the mounting screws were different lengths so had purchase and the anchors (used for drywall) were not sized to the job (too large) and the screws that mate to the anchors were too small. Once again, had to use my own.
It is a small bright light and with a flexible arm, perfect for reading.
This was just the type lamp I was looking for, one that did not take up any space or get in the way. The lamp output is great for reading without spashing light everywhere and runs cool. Was a bit hesitant due to price, but well pleased with the outcome.
I was glad to find a lamp that included an LED bulb for bedside reading. Besides being energy efficient, LED is very directional and I can read without keeping my husband awake. About the difficulty changing the bulb: the bulb barely fits into the fixture, so there is not much room to hold on to it while trying to get the base lined up. But it's LED, I shouldn't have to change it nearly as often as a standard or halogen bulb. One last thing: I've had a cheap gooseneck lamp before, and the gooseneck wore out and refused to hold its position relatively quickly. So far, this gooseneck is fine (as it should be on a better quality lamp), but I've only had the lamp a few months so it's hard to tell how long it will ultimately last. It seems relatively sturdy for a gooseneck, though.
I have looked every where for his/her reading lights for our bedroom. Even though these are a little pricey, they are perfect because one person can read at night without disturbing the other. The light is both strong in intensity and cool to the touch (important if it's on for a long time). [...]I have purchased a second pair of these lights for my Colorado home.
