I bought this lamp as a bedside lamp so I could read in bed. My nightstand is lower than the bed and too crowded for a table lamp. This suited my needs perfectly. Most of the floor lamps have the on/off switch on the floor, which would be quite unhandy for bedside. Also, it uses a 150 watt bulb...nice and bright. Now I want the matching table lamp for the other side of the bed. I love the contemporary style.

Bought this for the corner in my family room. It looks wonderful, my only con is that it could be taller, but it is behind a sectional, so I just propped it up.
