Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I shopped forever for the perfect lamp at the perfect price. Floor lamps are usually too big. This one was the best size. The pulls to turn on one bulb or two was appreciated for the ease of use. It looks great in my bedroom/office/guest room.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Height and size of shade (smaller than most) were perfect for my space. I use it beside a recliner for a reading light. Tiffany shade is of good quality. The base and pole have a medium brown painted finish that makes it look cheap for the shade. Even though the parts are metal and appear to be of good quality, the appearance is of plastic. I would have preferred a more metallic-looking finish.
