The Good News:
The desk lamp is attractive and semi-functional (see note below about the semi issue)
The Bad News:
Basically, buying this lamp feels like a black box experience as to the nearly complete absence of important consumer information that arrived with the product —Specifically:
1—ZERO contact information was provided about the manufacturer as its name, address, phone number, webpage, manufacturing country, etc.
2—ZERO warranty information was provided about the product. The Lamps Plus webpage states that it, "extends the manufacturer's warranty by one year." However, one has no way of knowing if the one-year extension is being added to 0 days, 90 days, or 365 days.
3—I stated in the Goods News above that the lamp is semi-functional---- Here's problem. ZERO information was provided about how the lamp works. The Lamps Plus webpage description for the lamp indicates that it has light temperature ranges from 3000-5500K, and three light levels. If one pushes the "touch switch", the lamp light level goes from low, to medium, to high. However, how to change the light temperature from a warm to cool L-level is a complete mystery.
Lamps Plus needs to require ALL vendors of ALL products to fully provide the above information with a product. The one-star rating is a consumer wake-call as to the standards that should be met by a retailer.
