No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The "faux alabaster " lens with this fixture discolored almost overnight even using the wattage bulbs prescribed for it. I own two of these fixtures and both did exactly the same thing. Both are being replaced after less than one year service and I am an unhappy customer...
