Functional, but on the cheap side...

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I purchased three of these bar stools because they matched (silver) the decor in my kitchen (for seating at the island), which is a contemporary style. It is difficult to find a bar stool in silver in a contemporary style. These were priced very low. You get what you pay for. They look nice, but feel cheap. They are very light, which I described as a "con" but I suppose to some people, may be a "pro". I consider it a con as they can tip over easily if bumped, or if kids are goofing off on them. They really are not sturdy at all. However, they look nice, and were very easy to assemble. I gave these bar stools a four-star rating because eventhough they are not high quality, they were not high-priced. I must add that as I am reviewing these bar stools, they are still new, and everything works well, including the hydraulic lift and how they spin.
