Task lamps help breathe new light into a room. This torchiere floor lamp stands tall with tiered bands of metal and champagne glass. Top torchiere light provides overall room illumination, while the twin side lights adjust for reading. Floor switch controls dimmer for top light and on-off button for side lights. We really like being able to light up the room with the top light and/or direct the lower lights onto our laps so we can read or work on our laptops. The remote control means we can adjust the lights w/o having to get up. And it looks great!

This is a very handsome, well-constructed lamp which ties the various styles in our living room together nicely. We've placed it behind the corner of our sectional couch. The torchiere really brightens the room, which has very high ceilings. The two directional lamps are great for reading. The only thing I would change would be to mount the reostat on the "trunk" of the lamp, as it's hard to reach on the floor behind the couch.

The lamp is sturdy and packaged well. But the top globe has a metallic streak in it that will not come off, and it does not fit well--not level. The side globes do not actually fit well either. The foot control does not work well. We will be returning it to the store. Will be looking for something made in the USA.

We bought this lamp for a corner of our living room, both for ambient general lighting in a room with no overhead lights and for occasional reading purposes. It fits the bill nicely on both counts. Easy to put together, looks great in our decor. Haven't had to change a light bulb yet so can't answer that one, but right now we couldn't be happier.
