The only reason to buy this lamp is to get 300 watts of light. The base is smaller than it should be in relation to the torchiere; the glass is held only by two little screws so it wiggles around if moved at all; the knob that turns the light on and off keeps falling off--a new one will be sent to me so I am hoping. I think the concept of this lamp is good but the design is not so good. It could tip over.
I think this is the greatest contemporary lighting which gives you a lot of bang for your buck! 300 watts of diffused light which I needed in a New York City Apartment. You will need two people to assemble. I was not very careful in assembling and scratched the chrome while putting it together. So have someone hold some of the pieces while you're assembling Also i was concerned that it flickers at low lighting level. but when I read instructions it said that's common and should be used on the brightest level which is what I need anyway
I use this floor lamp in a dark corner and it lights up the room. I love the fact that i have an option of a bright light or low level light. I also love the contemporary style
Looks nice and provides a good amount of illumination to light up a large area. It could use more dimmer settings.
Strong light and stylish design.
