The curves of the lighting fixtures in the Raiden collection emulate the curvature of the top bar of a Japanese torii, a gate formation that is prevalent throughout Japanese architecture. We used this wall sconce in the hallway from the living room to the bedrooms. It lights the area very well and looks beautiful. It looks great even when unlit.

The metal band in front attaches rather poorly to the sconce. I bought three of these and for two fo the three the metal band just sort of hangs there and you have to adjust it carefully.
