I purchased 2 of these. The first went into a small hallway. It provides good light and doesn't protrude into the walkspace. The second one is in the study. They are compact and still have that great "Mission" feel to them.

Great style. I used this in my bathroom over double vanity. I had the studio lights before which were way too bright for my liking. I wanted something more softer and relaxing. These lights did exactly that. I also have additional lighting in the bathroom. If you're after something more brighter then I wouldn't recommend using these as the primary source of light. Another use I can see is in a living room, bedroom or den.

Didn't mind so much that the light bulb is off-centered, but if there was a left and a right it would balance out when you pair them between the fireplace rather than looking lopsided.

We were not pleased that the picture online didn't realistically represent how they look when lit. The bulb socket is such that only half the sconce appears lit up. Not a big deal, but we may not have purchased this particular sconce if we'd known this.

My girlfriend is an Interior Designer and said the fluorescent wood light boxes had to go, and that they were NEVER OK. Not wanting to rewire the boxes (AGAIN), these wall sconces did the trick. They cover the holes, and give me light when I flip the wall switch, and, they are not fluorescent!
