We love the style and lighting of our Modella collection. Installing this was a trifle tricky; however, once insstalled, it's easy to change the bulbs so you don't have to undo anything.

Had this installed in the bedroom and love it. The design would fit in with different decorating styles. Only negative: the electrician said it was a pain to attach the three arms that hold the shade. Otherwise it's perfect.

Beautiful design and wonderful quality of light but the assembly is intricate and the instructions ridiculous (not to mention so small you need a magnifying lens to see them). Even the electrician had a hard time figuring this one out. And I gather when I have to change the bulbs, I will have to twist the globe off. I use it on a dimer, so that it is good for indirect lighting in the bedroom, and at full power, sufficient for reading.

This is perfect for dressing up an entry room or hallway when or anywhere you need a semi flush mount fixture. I have this in my entry room because the light is directly over the stairs so a hanging style is out of the question. The fixture gives the room a very warm and welcoming feel. Of course, with any fixture shaped like this you may catch a few bugs but the extension hose of the vacuum does the trick.

This semi flush fixture is really beautiful. We bought it for the design despite the installation reviews. But the reviews were spot on! This fixture was the most difficult we have ever installed (even more so than the one on the 15 ft high ceiling!). We are not looking forward to changing bulbs. Hung it from a 9 ft tall entry but so close to the ceiling it is not as "warm" as we would like that area to be. We are actually going to replace it with the Modella pendant chandelier . We will move this fixture to a more plain hallway (eek! Installation, Round 2!!).

The light looks great in the hallway. It was difficult to install bulbs -- you have to have the old type standard bulb. The new, energy saving bulbs won't allow the glass cover to fit.
