The matching lamps work perfectly for my small family room. They are very attractive and give a bit of class to the room.
This lamp is perfect in our living room. Used it to create a corner sitting/reading area with a chair, ottoman and bookcase.
I have owned this lamp for about 18 years with the same lamp shade. It is a bit tarnished looking in some spots, but still looks just fine in my living room. I did have to take it in for repairs on 1 occasion because my pet rabbit chewed thru the power cord. That was easily fixed! Great lamp by the couch to read by.
I like the simple, elegance of this lamp. also it has a wide range of lighting options due to the swing arm feature.
I was disappointed when the base broke after only three years. I do not want to invest in lamps that only last for a few years. The lamp itself worked well. But apparently, if you move it too many times, the base just crumbles apart. I asked if Lampsplus could provide a new base, but they could not.
I got this lamp as a present for my Dad. He needed something by his chair in the living room. This was a great solution. It is good looking, and is great for reading. He is very happy with it - and so am I!
Love this floor lamp at the end of our love seat. Very attractive. It's just the right height at 60" and puts out good light. Takes a 150 bulb but I have a 100 halogen bulb in it and that provides enough brightness I think.. And yes it's a warm glow not that harsh white light. I kinda miss the 3 way lamps but they seem to be going away with all the new light bulbs that are being introduced now!
I had bought 2 of these lamps from lamps plus back in 2009 for my mothers livingroom. I am now looking for a new floor lamp today to replace them at a higher price. The lamp itself is quite sturdy, and both still were working when the bases fell out after being moved a few times. It seems the bases are made of a flimsy plastic inside, so when the weight falls down, the whole lamp goes limp and crooked. I am sure if i took the lamp apart it could be fixed somehow, but i have guests coming and I dont have time, so I will buy a new one at a higher price. I suppose its true, you really do get what you pay for.
I bought this lamp to go next to a chair in the corner of my bedroom, where I read and have my evening cocoa. There's not room next to the chair for a proper table, so I decided on a floor lamp. The antique brass finish and traditional design went well with the other furnishings of the bedroom. The arm swings out if you need to move the light for reading. The switch is on the left side of the socket, and I would prefer it on the right. In other lamps I have it is fairly easy to turn around the socket to move the switch, but this one won't budge. The shade it came with looks a little small in proportion to the lamp.Images/Videos shared by: Dumbledore
Great light for reading in my easy chair. Also, brightens up that corner of the room when company is here
