Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Pretty lights but the light they give off with the amber shades give off a darkish type of cast. We have 3 of them hanging in our bathroom (high ceiling) and it only works because we also have over the sink/mirror lights as well as sconces. If it were up to these 3 lights only, it would be dark and depressing. Other than that, they are pretty to look at as long as the other lights are on too.
