Very attractive and fits in ideally with our rustic decor
This pendant is a perfect addition to our home; the piece we received is darker than what is shown in the picture but overall much better quality than I was anticipating. It took 2 people to hang the pendant & to secure the bowl once the bulbs were put in, which was not an easy task. Not looking forward to when they need to be replaced, but I would definitely recommend anything from the Oak Valley collection.
everything is great about this 5 light oak valley chandelier wakes up Dinning room. my family @ friends love it!!!!!!
Have someone else assemble it. It was a pain to do. Worth it in the end but 2 hours & 2 adults.
I was very pleased with the lighting once we put it in our entry and had to go back to buy another for our stairway.
We use this chandelier over our dining room table. Actually, it's more like a dining "area" that's completely open on one end (with a short walkway to the kitchen) and mostly open on one side with a waist-high half-wall that opens to the entry foyer. Consequently, we wanted a chandelier that could cast a large amount of light, when needed, but was also capable of lower light levels when desired. This chandelier fits the bill perfectly. It takes 5 bulbs rated at a maximum 60 watts each. To save energy, we use dimmable CFL bulbs that are equivalent to a 75-watt incandescent bulb, yet consume only 15 watts each at maximum power. We also installed a dimmer switch (capable of handling CFL bulbs) for those times when we don't require a lot of light. Beyond functionality, we also wanted a chandelier that would complement our home's Western/Native American decor and our Mission/Arts & Crafts furniture and existing table and floor lamps. Again, this chandelier is perfect. Its design is derived from the Mission Prairie style, but with an elegant, contemporary update that doesn't scream, "Spanish hacienda!" We love this design so much that we are in the process of retrofitting the rest of our home with the other ceiling light fixtures from the Franklin Iron Works Oak Valley Collection.
Very pleased with the quality and looks of these lights.
We hung this chandelier above our dining room table. The ceiling is sloped and this hung just fine. We installed a dimmer switch which works well to change the mood and light intensity. We used CFL dimmer bulbs. Use two people to hang the chandelier. It is very heavy. To change the bulbs, you need to drop the glass bottom. It is not difficult but does take a few minutes to do.
I'm very happy with this product...It was the only style I could find that had the matching ceiling fan/w light kit and the flush mount 15" light. I have them all and extremely happy with them.
We did alot of research before purchasing this product and are very happy with our choice. We installed this light above our dining table and it fits well with the rest of the decor. Everyone who visits compliments us on our choice also :)
Attractive in the mission style that dominates the living area where it hangs. Five bulbs emit nice light. Very satisfied. I am picky when it comes to look.
I ordered this light for my kitchen breakfast nook as part of a kitchen remodel. It is slightly larger than i was expecting, however it looks good (i think). I was impressed by the quality - HEAVY metal and it took two people to get the chain link opened for hanging. It calls out for 5 bulbs - we did not need much light or want it to be overpowering, so we just bought lower wattage bulbs instead. The only "flaw" with the design is that to change the bulbs you have to unscrew the nut on the very bottom of the light and let the glass bowl drop out (this has to be done because there is a metal grate over the top of the bulbs - presumably to minimize up-lighting or to keep objects from falling into the bowl... like kids' play toys being tossed about). Well built light - i'd recommend it.Images/Videos shared by: Doityourselfer
Nice modern look for my entry. Bought two of them. Really updates the house. Use a dimmer like all our other lights for a great option.
I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS LIGHT. IT IS PERFECT FOR MY DINING ROOM.
