This octagonal flushmount offers great looks, plus the convenience of a built-in motion detector and dusk-to-dawn sensor. A handy security feature around garages and patios, the motion sensor has a 360 degree, 30 foot range. The design also comes with the Dual Brite two-level lighting feature, which brightens the light output from the light when motion is detected. May also be installed indoors.

By following the directions provided with this item, I have the ability to determine the length of time the light will stay brighter within a specificed choice of time when the front door is approached, a VERY nice feature. I wanted this fixture very specifically for the dusk to dawn feature as additional security for around my front door. When using the right energy saving, "lasts forever" bulbs which I purchased to use in this this fixture, it's extremely inexpensive to operate as intended. This fixture provides an excellent way to keep your front door illuminated at dark without having to remember to turn the light on and off, ever! You get to install it and then forget it. This is exactly what feature I was looking for - referred to a dusk to dawn feature - and Lamps Plus provided the best price of all the other sites I spent a lot of time searching through. Highly recommend.

I have two of this model on my front porch and they do not come on at the same time neither do they stay on long enough for security. Therefore they put out a flicker effect that attracts attention rather than coming on & staying on for security.

Great light... very solid feeling, easy to install, and just the features I wanted (dusk to dawn and motion sensor). As others have mentioned, the light is a bit dim - but brightens significantly when the motion sensor is tripped. Highly recommended.

The motion sensor works well, but to have a light that is on all night (and then brightens with motion) it is just crazy not to use fluorescent bulbs.
