My husband installed this in our foyer. We needed something for a seven foot ceiling that would provide good light. This fixture does both and is very elegant and sophisticated without being fussy. There were no negatives associated with this fixture.

Contractors loved it!

I needed an impressive overhead light fixture in a Dutch Colonial's small, low-ceiling entryway leading directly up an elegant stairwell. This did the trick. The "drop" of the flush mount wasjust right so that when walking down the stairs, no one can see into the light bulb or be distracted by the glare of the bulb. The glass reflected plenty of light from a 150 Watt bulb with no glare or "bright" spot. For less light, merely replace with a lower watt bulb. The designer and contractor both thought the fixture looked expensive and was perfect for the area, and the electrician particularly commented on the quality. With its bronze finish, antique glass look, and slightly Asian feel, this fixture is eclectic enough to fit into the true formal colonial, modern, or even mission style. Since this design is echoed in other fixtures, I am going to install a similar but more significant fixture in the master bedroom, since the ceiling is higher. The coloring will fit in well with the granite tile around the fireplace.

I used this in a living room with a fireplace and the combination of the ceiling light and sconces (on both sides of the fireplace) was beautiful. I am now moving the ceiling light to my dining room because we installed a ceiling fan in the living room.

A great updated take on earlier 20th century lighting styles. Fits with Art Deco/Craftsman and Prarie styles, but surprisingly can even shine in contemporary settings as well. Great workable design for an affordable price.

I needed stylish overhead lighting for a small foyer, but couldn't install anything that hung too low. This was perfect. Not close to the ceiling, but not so low that it got hit by the opening door. I love the Asian flair and while providing ample light to the space, it also adds a nice amber glow.

The bronze finish of this contemporary fixture as well as the design harken back to the Craftsman fixtures. The fixture is a clear feature in its new location.
