Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I installed this sconce in my hallway. The installation wasn't difficult, except for getting in the top screws that hold the mounting plate and the back plate together, but that was an issue mainly because of the placement of the junction box in relation to the ceiling. If you have adequate clearance, installing this should be easy. The fixture is very attractive, with a sort of Hollywood Regency look, and could easily fit in with a contemporary setting as well. It doesn't give off a whole lot of light, which for my purposes is perfect. It's just enough to let me get to my bedroom without tripping over anything.
