nice design, but construction is fair...one of the two we first bought had to be returned because the unit was attached "crooked" to the base... Also the "floating" rectangles are not quite level

The lamp is stylish and well made. Easy to assemble. It doesn't give off much light, so if you need major illumination try a different lamp. It is decorative and works as a bedside lamp if you don't read in bed. The major concern is that the rectangular shade makes it difficult to reach the on/off knob. It would have been better if the lamp was designed with a pull chain on/off instead.
