I have used this product in the living room of an ocean front condo. It is great for reading (I placed it in a dark corner). The design is very different from anything I have seen and it is so modern and a great conversation piece.

It really looks nice, on or off. Has dimmer so can go from dim to very bright. Very poor instructions make assembly difficult, and I am quite handy.
